Dr Neil Kemp

After a PhD in Physics at Victoria University of Wellington (NZ), I went on to do postdoctoral work at the University of New South Wales (Australia) and Université de Strasbourg / CNRS – IPCMS (France). In 2009 I established a research group in Nanophysics at the University of Hull (UK) and in 2021 my group moved to the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Nottingham.  Our focus is on developing nanotechnology for real-world electronic applications with particular emphasis on memristors for neuromorphic computing and artificial intelligence applications.
