After a PhD in Physics at Victoria University of Wellington (NZ) I went on to do postdoctoral work at the University of New South Wales (Australia) and Université de Strasbourg / CNRS – IPCMS (France). In 2009 I established a research group in Nanophysics at the University of Hull (UK) with a focus on developing nanotechnology for real-world electronic applications. My particular area of focus is non-volatile memory for artificial intelligence applications, spintronics and biosensors.
